Description Precision JO-PLUGS® are designed to determine Basic Position and Basic Profile of threaded holes.  Thread grinding and inspection are performed in an ISO-17025:2017 A2LA Accredited facility, Certification #3692.01. This laboratory meets the requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z 540-1-1994 and ANSI/ASME B1.12-1991 and B1.16M-1984. A pitch diameter is a constant number and Precision JO-PLUGS® provide a calibrated pitch cylinder parallel to internal threads. The location and orientation of tapped holes is derived using the pitch cylinder axis of the threaded hole in accordance to ANSE/ASME14.5 M 2015.
